Halloween party

Last Saturday night, my roommate, some friends and I went to pub for a Halloween party. It was very interesting and funny. Almost each person dressed up for our party and they were looks so funny that I laughed for a long time.

My roommate was made up by two girls and I watched the process. He was forced to wear a skirt and wig. At the same times, his eyes, eyelashes were made up by several makeups. Furthermore, he was forced to use much lip-synch. After he was made up, he showed many body languages belonging to girls or women. His performance was so fascinating that you could believe he was a gay.

Two more interesting guys, who made up as super people, were very funny at the party. For one boy, he wore red underwear outside of his jeans and a shawl on his should. Also, he dyed his shoes red and wore a blue shirt. For a girl, she wore black shirt and showed her beautiful legs. She wore mask and black boots. The most important thing was her nice body rather than her clothing. The girl was so beautiful that everyone looked her many times. …….

The most interesting thing in the party was my roommate’s performance. He said she could not drink cold wine because her period was coming. Then, he took off his coat, which is a girl’s red coat, and took his tampon with fresh “blood”. Oh my god, he was so funny and he could really make up as a girl……

On that night, I drank a lot of wine and was very happy because I learned how to play dice game. During the game, who lost the game would drink a glass of wine. We had many different games and I never knew about some of them before this party.

The Reflection of Exams.

What a bad day! I failed in my both listening and speaking class and it made me mad. I do not know how to do next. I hope I can pass this term because I am looking forward my university course.

Last Thursday, I did a presentation and I felt very good. However, the teacher told me I should put a lot of attention on my rhythm and intonation. Oh my god, how can I improve my pronunciations? Fortunately, this presentation was much better than last time and I am glad to see this.

In reading midterm exam, I only got C+ and I am happy since I pass it; however, I am also sad because I usually got B or higher in last semester. I will work harder and make a great improvement on next exam. My god, bless me.

In writing midterm exam, I got A, and I am really happy about it. I found a rule, the more time I spend on my writing, the higher mark I get. For example, I got A on my first assignment because I spent several days on polishing my essay. I got B on my second one since I only spend one day on polishing my essay. I will spend more time on my essay and avoid mistakes as less as possible.

I will watch TV and practice my English everyday. I wish I will be better in the future.

what should I do next?

I was looking forward to seeing my second essay, and I was very happy because Scott gave our No.2 essay back today. However, the result made me very sad and I could not believe that I made so many mistakes on my essay. Before I submit it to Scott, I checked several times and I did not find any problem. Besides, I though I could master how to use article; nevertheless, the most mistakes in my essay were article errors. The reason why I could not believe is that I did not discover any problem before handed in. I think I will be crazy if it happens again. I think I should concern about article and try to avoid so many mistakes in next essay.

I am always worried about my midterm exam and it come tomorrow. Even though there are some many things in my brain, I am scared of writing because I can not write it in proper English. The performance of my midterm will be 20% in my final academic performance. I do not know how to do next.

One more thing is about my registration. Most of my classmate had already enrolled their courses. On the other hand, I do not know what I want to study or I will study. Although I am good at mathematics, I do not like study it for my major. I wish I could be businessman in the future however I could not study business because of many reasons. Oh my god, could you tell me what I should do next? a

A Bad Movie

Last night, my friends and I saw a great movie called Fight Club. I want to talk some thing about this movie now. Fight Club is a story about how a man changes since he got schizophrenia. In the beginning, the movie introduced that the hero realized his abnormality, and he went to doctor and checked his symptom. The main role said his feeling, which is the beginning symptom of his schizophrenia. In the first half story, he tried to find a treatment to treat his schizophrenia and attended some organization and shared story with others; however, he could not find an effective way to cure it. Then, he set up fight club and organized people to do abnormal things. In the second half story, he realized the serious consequences of his schizophrenia and wanted to change it. Nevertheless, he couldn’t change it in the end of the story and he was died in his plan. After the movie, I felt very unhappy because this movie affected my emotion and let me upset. I promised that I could not watch this movie again in the future in order to keep a good mental condition. Also, I want to remind my friends do not watch this movie if they want happy.

A Traditional Chinese Wedding

One of my friends told me he will marry soon when we were talking today, and it made me so surprised that I could not believe it. After that, I remembered an article which I wrote when I was new here. I read it again and I found many mistakes. I corrected them and put it on my blogs because I want to share this culture with my friends. I hope you guys can enjoy it.

In every culture, weddings are always very important events, so both of the bride and groom spent a lot to prepare their wedding.
Before the wedding, bride’s parents always prepare bride’s wedding clothes（Red cheongsam）. At the same time, they will buy many goods for the bride’s life, such as cabinets, pans, and desks and so on. They always make cotton blankets with jujube and chestnut since it has a special story. In Chinese, jujube pronounces “ zao”, and chestnut pronounces “li zi”；In English, zao means early, and li zi means to born a son. They want the new couple to have a son soon after they marry since it is a masculine society in traditionally Chinese social system. Meanwhile, the groom’s family will prepare a house for the new couple.
On the morning before the wedding, the bride often cries because she will leave her parents and they will live by themselves. Meanwhile, the groom’s family will very happy, because their family will get a new person.
During the wedding, the bride wears red cheongsam and red veil; the groom wears black upper cloth and red down cloth. There are a lot of fireworks when the bride gets out of the sedan chair which is similar to car. They always worship earth, heaven and their parents on bended knees. Their parents usually give them some money or some gifts. After that, sometimes, the groom will hold his bride in the arm and take her to their bedroom. And then, the groom will lift the veil away. Sometimes, the new couple will join hands to go to their bedroom. People generally will kid the new couple, and they think the more they kid around with the new couple, the better friends. Then, they will go to lunch together. Generally, there is a lot of food in the wedding lunch, such as fish, pork, chicken and seafood and so on.
After the lunch, the bride’s family will go home, the rest of people and their neighbors will go to their house to congratulate their wedding and held party in there. Sometimes, the party will not finish until midnight. Usually, they will kid new couple again and talk some thing and enjoy their happy life. Sometimes, the new couple’s home have a little people to congratulate their wedding, and party is finish in early times because they haven’t many friend or they had a bad relationship with their neighbors. People always wish that many people go to their home to congratulate their wedding and enjoy their happy life.

The experience of last week

Last Friday, I met with my friend Sunny in the cafeteria of the Education Block and discussed how to pronounce the sounds of English more clearly. He told me that the most useful way to practice those sounds is by practicing the rhythm and melody of spoken English. During the time together, I found that speaking English with the wrong rhythm made me hard to say the sound clearly, no matter how much I practice. Besides, the more I practiced with wrong rhythm, the more my mistakes become fixed. After discussion, I asked him teach me how to read words with silent letters because I always made mistakes in reading. Then, I know the consonant letter “b” is silent if it is in final position after “m” or before “t” in final position, such as, bomb, climb, dumb, comb, debt, doubt. Moreover, I know the consonant letter “u” is silent in some words as well, such as, buy, guilty, circuit, biscuit and guarantee. Even though that experience just was a 90 minutes talking and did not help me much in speaking English, it is very important for me in that it let me know how to improve my oral English and how to make the most efficient use of my time when I learn to pronounce English better. I am looking forward to do this activity again because I want to know more speaking skills. Several weeks ago, I was scared of speaking English with others and spoke English without confidence. But now, I do not scared of speaking English any more and I always try to speak more with confidence to practice my intonation. Long time ago, when I am talking with others, I could not understand many words because those words with silent letters. However, I can understand them and it make me very happy. Although studying English is a slow progressive work; I will do more exercise correctly as possible as I can to practice my English.

Oh my God, please bless me.

Several days ago, my roommate got a bad cold and he seemed very weak; however, he still often gives me a ride and I felt very good. Unfortunately, I got a cold too because we often stay together. I feel very bad and I found there was no proper medicine left; therefore, I must go to drug store and buy some. One worse thing was that I promised my friend I will help her work on Monday. Because I got a cold, I could not help her work any more and I ate my words. I felt very bad about that because I could not keep my promise. On the next day, I broke my thermos bottle and I could not drink hot water at midnight. It made me upset and I must heat water whenever I want to drink hot water. The worst thing was happen at this morning. Since my computer’s clock was one hour late and I did know it, I missed my bus and I went to school on foot. It was really cold outside; I almost got a cold again. Oh my God, what was wrong recently? Please tell me…
